The third annual Modern Film Fest continues to grow with more and more guests from this year's film line up signing up to participate in the film fest. Patrons have a chance to meet cast and crew from many of the movies during an after party for "Witness Insecurity" which screens at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Gem Theatre, Kannapolis, N.C.

In addition to the after party, patrons will have a chance to meet many of the filmmakers during Modern Film Fest, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2. Tickets are $4 for each movie, but the after party tickets are $10.

Filmmakers will be identified with a lanyard designating what movie they are connected with that will give patrons a chance to talk to the people who make the movies for this year's festival.
There will also be a free filmmakers discussion panel at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Gem Theatre, annex.

The WORLD PREMIERE of, "Witness Insecurity" featuring Ed Asner, Edward Furlong and Meat Loaf. Rick Ravanello, who played the main villian "Amthony" is flying in from California.

You may not know his name, but you have probably seen his face. He has more than 70 actings credits including, "Hart's War," "Weeds" "Smallville" "The Closer" and he is now getting ready to be in a zombie movie set at a prison called, "Dead Inside." In addition to Rick Ravanello, we have the writer/producer of, "Witness Insecurity" as well as Cal Johnson, who is the stuntmane for, "Homeland" which nearly 100 credits to his name including, "Babylon 5" and "Diehard with a Vengence." We also have the director for, "The Darkest Matter," "Redneck Roots," the short film, "Confederate Zombie: Trail of Blood," the director of, "Firewall as Sound," the producer
and director for, "Cold Storage" and other guests.
