The release of Lisa Renee Jones's first book in her INSIDE OUT TRILOGY -- IF I WERE YOU -- as an indie book August 24th was followed by a negotiated sale to Simon and Schuster only three days later, and inked on September 12th. In the short window of time the story was released it climbed to Barnes and Nobles top 100 and broke the top 50 at Amazon, while garnering more than 1000 reviews at Goodreads. Inspired by a journal her fiancee found when buying and selling storage units (yes like the show but before the show) Lisa calls this her SHADES OF GREY meets BASIC INSTINCT.

Why Shades of Grey? The dark, damaged characters and passion. Why Basic Instinct? Because the main character Sara finds an erotic journal and begins to read. Sara becomes as obsessed with the writer of the journal as the writer is with the two men in the journal, and they with her. She seeks out the woman to be sure she is safe and becomes absorbed in her life, where she meets two powerful men -- one of which draws her into an intensely passionate affair. Simon and Schuster has re-released IF I WERE YOU in e-book and is coordinating the print release of the entire trilogy for early 2013. Sales to at least six foreign markets, several with pre-empts and in negations.

 William Brooks is a graduate from the Art Institute of Charlotte with a bachelor’s degree in digital film and video production. Some of his work has been selected in local student film festivals as well as showcases in the Charlotte community. He has experience in all types of video work including short films, music videos, commercials, short documentaries, and television. He is cofounder of a small production company with two of his friends called Envy Pictures. His main passion for filmmaking is telling stories that create emotions for audiences while giving them an escape from their normal lives.

The Modest Truth is a short film about a 12-year-old boy named Daniel Ferris Jr. and his struggle to overcome physical weakness in order to impress his father and build their relationship back to normal. The story takes place in the 1960's where family is the most important aspect of any household but Daniel Jr and his father find it difficult to remedy. Daniel Jr finds that he has to put away his childhood and begin exercising in order to gain back his father's love.

Lawrence "LAW" Watford is Brooklyn based filmmaker. He began producing movies as a film student at Regent University in Virgina Beach and In since then has been actively engaged in the craft of filmmaking. Law works on major feature films and episodic television shows, while producing independently under the Lawville Solutions banner. In 2005 he wrote and directed "A Christmas Wish", which starred James Avery (‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’), and most recent "The Mourning After," the story of two people who survived the 9/11 tragedy as a result of an illicit affair.




His film A Christmas Wish tells the story of a man whom one year af­ter his wife's Christ­mas Eve mur­der, he is on the brink of sui­cide.  He is ap­proached by a stranger who con­vinces him that he can re­unite his wife. Asia ac­cepts the deal, on­ly to dis­cov­er the catch: He must re­live the day of her death over and over again in or­der to be with her.

Chase Kliber is a recent graduate of the UNCW film studies program. Jumping immediately onto the new Showtime series Homeland, he survived the entire season as Assistant Art Department Coordinator, wrapping just in time to follow his short doc on laughter yoga (Laugh, And Love Life) presented at the Cucalorus film festival. He has been developing DRAG HIM OUT! ever since.

Rami Dilagani would love to have the opportunity to implement his skills and dedication in any acting / modeling production. Currently, he works as an extra in Showtime's new series "Homeland" which is being shot here in Charlotte N.C. and set to air October.

Rami refuses to take no for an answer, DREAMS + ACTION = REALITY. And thats the motto he goes by. Ramie says, "everything starts with a dream and its my job to make action in order fulfill my dreams and aspirations."

He is very outgoing, outspoken and outdoorsy type of person. He loves entertainment, loves to laugh and lives life to the fullest. Rami likes working out and absolutely loves running.  He is also sports, hair, fashion and loves to go shopping.

Brandon Solomon is an actor out of Greensboro, NC. He as been acting for almost 2 years, and he enjoys every minute of it. For most of his life basketball has been what he loved doing more than anything else, and he couldn't imagine anything ever taking its place. However, he can say that acting has done that now. He has been studying under Keith R. Harris at the Triad Actors Co-Op for the past year and he has really learned a lot! According to Brandon he says "the school really challenges me and continues to help me improve as an actor. My confidence in my abilities has definitely grown as a result of taking his classes. I'm working hard everyday to become the actor I envision myself to be---one who can do it all. I want to be able to make people laugh, cry, smile, cheer, feel good, and believe the impossible is possible. I want people to be able to watch me and lose all of their cares for awhile. I hope to touch people's lives in a meaningful way as an actor."

 The next step he is looking to take in his career, is obtaining representation. He wants to make a living as an actor full-time and obtaining an agent would take him one step closer to that dream. His goal is to have an agent before the end of the year.

Aaron graduated from Western Carolina University in 2009 with a BFA in Motion Picture and Television Production. In the Summer of 2007 he wrote and directed a short for the 48 Hour Film Fest in Asheville called "Cosmo of 1932". The film was about a modern detective, named Jerry Cosmo, who idolized the abrasive noir detectives of the 30's and 40's.  The film won 9 of the available 19 awards, including Best Actor: Miles Rice, Best Directing, Best Writing, Crowd favorite, and Best Film.

After that Aaron toyed around with the idea of creating a web series based loosely around the concept, but could never figure out what direction to take it. A year or so ago, he was sitting with Miles Rice, the actor who had played Cosmo, and he convinced him to take another look at the series. He did so, and by Christmas 2010 he was filming the first episode. Aaron is planning a 6 episode season to start off with, in which he is currently in pre-production of the last 5 episodes. At the moment, his next move is to complete casting, which he will be sending out calls very soon. Please watch the episodes and support his work. In November 2010, Ian made his debut as Beth Bradley’s “Baby Angel” in the production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at the Fort Mill Community Playhouse. He enjoyed working with the other FMCP cast members (his playhouse family). This opportunity had a big impact on him. In January 2011, Ian auditioned and was accepted as a company member with NarroWay Productions in South Carolina. He was casted in the "Lord of Light" stage production and he has been casted for a leading role in "The Gospel According to Tennessee" for August 2011 as well as "The Fourth Cross" stage production which is scheduled for 2012.

In June 2011, Ian will be involved in the second season filming of "Avenue C" as one of the younger performers in the production. In November 2011, he will be competing in the 2011 Models of the South Conference in Charlotte. Finally, Ian has participated as an extra in a couple of films in North Carolina. Ian enjoys reciting scripted lines that he has heard with stage performances, on television or in movies. It is the parents’ desire for him to gain experience with Print Ads (Fashion and Commercial) as well as TV Commercials. It is their hope that such experience will lead to television and film opportunities. Silvanus Slaughter began his career as an artist in radio and theater in San Francisco. In 1985, he moved to Los Angeles and worked for HBO Films and Original Programming until 1998. During that interim, he sold one screenplay, Tesla: Beyond Space and Time, and optioned two psychological dramas, “La Danza Moderna” and “Venice in Peril.” He wrote, produced and directed a featurette executed in Fellini / Antonioni Eurostyle, “An Encounter/Un Incontro,” which aired nationwide on PBS affiliates.

Disenchanted with the nepotism and corporatization infecting Hollywood, Slaughter returned to his native home in North Carolina in 1999. He subsequently published a debut Southern Gothic novel, “Sweet Piece” which was well-reviewed. Two attempts to mount a $10 million indie feature adaptation of that erotic, violent novel were derailed by an unstable economy. Exhausted, Slaughter took a hiatus from filmmaking in 2004 and crafted his debut as a singer-songwriter, “Constellations Compromised, Vol. 1” in an old jail in his hometown, which The News and Observer called “a work of genius,” but, rather than tour, Slaughter holed himself up in a small garret for six years and has finished recording ten more conceptual albums, including “Constellations Compromised, Vols 2 and 3” , “Symphonic Jazz Abstractions Vol 1 - 7” and “Little Dream: A Suite for Piano.”

He plans to tour beginning 2011 when he starts releasing these volumes. “Creative ideas and their execution come easily to me; connections never have, because I am uncompromising. It's the music that, oddly, brought me back to film making. I needed visual representations of myself and my music for this era, so I started crafting what I term “music-films” for You Tube on zero-budgets. After making 34 “music films” of varying complexity and abstraction, I am now edging back into narrative again with “In Oxford Town,” and a short about suicide I co-wrote, directed, edited and scored this past summer, “The Lighthouse” (due later this year). I learned everything about directing and editing from 70s classics and European directors – they weave more than one idea per film, and probe humanity. I am a Romantic in an era fascinated with necro-porn and CGI cartoons; American cinema is stuck in the Focus-Group money game.

An attorney friend in L.A. Is trying to raise budgets, again, for “Sweet Piece” and “La Danza Moderna.” I may do another half-hour film I scripted called, “The Devil, You Said” this winter. My websites need overhauls, the economy sucks, I'm readying to tour. Time will tell what is on the front burner.”

New Bern native, Kristi Ray has been acting for over twelve years. Now 20, she has a string of impressive credits attached to her name. In the past two years Kristi Ray has captured audiences in a good handful of NC indie films such as Josh Clayton's The Virgins (http://www.joshclaytonfilm.com/) where she plays the passive and eerily shy Danielle. She is scheduled to appear in a Native American Epic titled Fall of the Hunter's Moon later this year and is currently filming a comedy titled Change where she delights as the light hearted love interest.

Tony Murnahan is a young, Fayetteville-based filmmaker who has already lived multiple lives. After retiring from touring in rock bands, his buddy Joe Stauffer helped Tony transition into producing multi-angle, live, rock videos for local NC bands. Tony sold much of his musical equipment so he could afford the very basics needed for creating videos. Thus Murnahan’s own production company, Stwrongtone Media, was born. After filming countless live performances, Murnahan quickly became bored with the limitations of stage shows - and began producing high concept music videos and experimenting in short films.

Stwrongtone Media is a way for Tony to pay the bills by producing music videos, commercials, short films, and other various internet content. Tony is currently completing post production on a short film titled Long Lost Friend and assisting in the feature film titled Pieces of Talent which is currently in production. Pieces of Talent has an amazingly talented & experienced cast and crew.
